your disputes in court. Whether you are the plaintiff
(the person who is suing another) or a defendant (the person
who is being sued), we are here to help you.
Some individuals are timid and wish to avoid conflict. A

Common Civil Litigation Mistakes:
(1) Some individuals wait until the last
possible minute to contact an attorney for help after a
threat of litigation. The problem with waiting too long is that
the statute of limitations may be approaching, or worse
if it has already elapsed, and you will be prevented
from brining any claims you may have. It is always
a good idea to contact a lawyer at the first sign of
trouble in any dispute. There is no reason to wait before
contacting a lawyer for help with your dispute, even if
it has not yet evolved into a lawsuit.
(2) An individual who is not happy with
the court's (or jury's) decision may wish to appeal to a
higher court. Appeals are not automatic, they must
be filed within a very short time after the trial
judgment is entered. You must discuss with your
attorney whether or not you wish to appeal the decision.
